OD3 is the 3rd pedal designed to produce overdrive but the original deisgn lacks some important qualities that are essential to the sound of every pedal. This mod converts this pedal to a lively, expressive high gain overdrive pedal.

 

After this mod the pedal becomes a high gain Overdrive / Distortion. The sound is not muffled any more, that is a lot of presence and sparkle could be heard after the mod.
The low end is also noticable in the sound.

Three state Mid-Voice toggle switch sound description:

Toggle switch in the middle position: Warm sound with a very pronounced midrange quality. Perfect for solos that easily cut through the mix, or for pick ups that have a faint midrange sound. 
Toggle switch in the lower position: Mid-cut sound with a ahint of midrange quality. This setting creates a sound between the middle position and the upper position.
Toggle switch in the upper position: Cuts the mids heavily. Perfect for a heavy sound.
